The Sporty Shirt
A human by the name of Kim
Was pretty, smart, industrious and bright.
With eyes deep blue; and blonde, and trim.
To look her up and down was a delight.
She was without a doubt a master of the house,
A model housewife, seamstress, and a cook.
One day she thought she'd sew herself a blouse,
Went to the nearby fabric store to look.
The fabric that she bought was white on white,
The pattern was a bunch of little swirls.
Why not a skirt instead, she thought. Just right
To complement her blonde and pretty curls.
She started making for herself that skirt
But then before she cut she changed her mind,
Decided sewing for her husband a new shirt,
Not stuffy and conventional but of the sporty kind.
She smiled and was so proud when it was done,
She'd made a perfect match of all the swirls.
But then her husband sputtered as he put it on;
It buttoned right, just like a girl's.
