The Lawyer's Wedding
A human by the name of Drew
Proposed to marry beautiful Annette.
She was, like he, a lawyer, too.
It was in court where first they'd met.
But first, they said, it's necessary we define
By legal documents, which spell it out,
That which is yours, which mine.
With this in mind they set about
To write a contract, clearly phrased,
To show each partner's obligation;
Responsibilities defined and clearly placed
To deal with any future situation.
They worked on it for many years
Through reams of changes, on and on,
Until some time when it appears
The wedding contract finally is done
Now could the wedding date be set.
And what a lovely pair to see
Were Drew and his Annette.
She sixty-one, he sixty-three.
