The important Issues
We humans claim that life is easier today
Because of all the new inventions.
That isn't always true , I say,
Despite the best intentions.
As an example there was June
And handsome Bill, her spouse,
Returning from their honeymoon,
About to set up house.
The color red he liked, and so did she,
She also took his very name.
They even breathed in unity,
Their tastes were all the same.
But when it came to toilet tissue
They couldn't get it right,
Because there was this ugly issue
Which caused a prolonged fight:
"You roll it facing you," she said.
But did he listen, - no,
He was a somewhat stubborn lad,
He rolled it opposite, you know.
She shouted, raised her voice
Because he rolled it to the rears.
We never had such problem, or such choice,
We had a catalog from Sears.
