The Flight to Paradise
The picture showed a sky so blue,
And soft and golden looked the sand.
It was a perfect ocean view,
Hawaii it said, Vacationland.
It certainly was no surprise
That John and Mary went to pay
Their airplane flight to paradise
The twenty-third of May.
The bags soon ready, fully packed
With clothes and swimming gear.
Then everything was double checked
The week their flight drew near.
The airport was a busy place.
One hour there they stood in line.
And then they had to race
To make their plane in time.
They made the plane without a hitch.
And smiling to Hawaii they flew.
There just was one small glitch -
Their luggage flew to Timbuktu.
