The Expert
A human thought himself a whiz
In electronics, electricity and such.
If something somewhere was amiss
He thought he had the magic touch.
One day his wife switched on the light
But still her kitchen would stay dark
She switched again, then sighed,
"There wasn't even a small spark."
She called her husband right away
To test the switch if it was right.
He checked with meters half the day,
But still there was no light.
He told his wife: "My meter's test
It showed the switch is gone."
And so at last he deemed it best
To change it for a newer one.
He knew he did it right,
How could there be a doubt.
But still there was no light, -
- The light bulb had burned out.
