The Budding Artist
A Human, barely three years old,
Loved crayons, any color, soft or bold,
Adorning doors and walls, the daily news,
With yellows, pinks, and reds and blues.
He made his parents very proud
And that was why he was allowed
To paint on walls and doors; they knew,
This showed his talent coming through.
There was no question; they could see
His talent, and the artist he would be.
And for the future to admire and to look
They saved his crayon art works in a book.
The budding artist's book it could be found
Next to the Heirloom Bible, leather bound.
Then they discovered after he had come of age,
The Heirloom also sported crayons on each page.
