The Black Tie Affair
A human with an invitation
To a serious symphonic recitation
Decided to take extra care
Regarding dress for this black-tie affair.
He raided his vacation fund
For a tuxedo and a cummerbund.
And since it was such sunny weather,
New shoes of patent leather.
He then reached for the glass flacon
To get himself a whisper of cologne.
And in the mirror, his reflection,
It was a picture of perfection.
And so this very special day
He motored off, was on his way,
And as expectantly he drove along,
He turned, but it was wrong.
There was a driveway, then a gate,
That's where he noticed somewhat late
That slightly overdressed was he
In the middle of a nudist colony.
